National AAUP staff members will be visiting Virginia Tech on Tuesday, February 10, to meet with our chapter and the Faculty Senate. Three meetings will be held:

2:00 – 3:30 PM, McBryde 655: VT AAUP Chapter meeting with AAUP staff shared governance expert, Donna Young, to discuss the current state of shared governance at Virginia Tech, and how the faculty voice in university decision making can be strengthened. Representatives from the Faculty Senate will attend.

3:30 – 4:30 PM, McBryde 655: CANCELED. VT AAUP Chapter meeting with national AAUP organizing staff member Jamie Daniel, to discuss building our chapter.

5:15 – 7:00 PM, Fralin Auditorium: Joint meeting on shared governance with Faculty Senate, VT-AAUP chapter members, and national AAUP representative.
