Jamie Daniel, the Director of Organizing at the National AAUP, will be on campus on March 18, to lead a workshop on organizing for Virginia Tech AAUP members. Jamie has worked in higher education and in labor and community organizing since 1982. She will be providing ideas, training, and guidance as we develop a campaign to build our chapter.Mission of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP):
- advance academic freedom;
- promote shared governance;
- define fundamental professional values and standards for higher education;
- promote the economic security of faculty, academic professionals, graduate students, post‐doctoral fellows, and all those engaged in teaching and research in higher education;
- help the higher education community organize to make our goals a reality;
